so I'm working on a new comic series. I have several plots written and a few pages done. Its more of an action adventure story than my current gag comic. It's going to feature some of the same characters. It's going to have the 17 yr old version of shannon. I think I've posted some pics of her.
I want it to be a more mature story line. I've been debating how mature though. I'm not talking hard core stuff, but profanity and mild nudity. My current strip is G/Pg, mainly because i wanted to get it syndicated. Also I felt, since Shannon is only 10, it would have been inappropriate. but having her grown up I don't have a problem with it. The question I have is how much would swearing and nudity add or subtract from the story. It's been a tough decision for me. I've read comics that are mature and are very well done but I've also read some were that stuff overshadows the story. I'm curious what your opinion on the subject is.
